KIWTV started after the success of KIW Radio, which is an online radio station that's home to "The Forgotten Files", starring MT Robinson, as well as the flagship station for the sketch comedy radio show, "Keeping It Weird", hosted by comedian Rick Gene. "Keeping It Weird" originated on different FM radio stations in San Diego, and then moved online at www.kiwradio.com after those stations kept changing formats.
