Friendship isn’t always 50/50.
Sometimes it’s 70/30. Sometimes 80/20. Sometimes even 90/10.
But real friendship doesn’t keep score.
It’s led by unconditional love. By showing up when the other person doesn’t have much to give. By telling each other the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable or when we’re afraid the other person may not want to hear it.
It’s noticing when too much time has passed and saying, “Hey, I haven’t heard from you. Are you okay?”
It’s making the effort to stay connected, even when life gets busy. For me, that means trying to check in at least once a week, because the people I love matter too much to let distance quietly grow between us.
I’m so grateful I’ve found friendships like this — the kind that feel safe, honest, mutual, and built to last a lifetime. 🤍
