You can expand on this post in any direction if want but I am curious to know a few things spanning over your long art career thinking of the stages you went through while on this journey, and if you're just starting out and you're an emerging artist 🙏 speak up for sure and talk about these things among your peers here.
NOW VS EARLY DAYS (And how did you learn about this)
1️. Representation: Do you feel like your artistic voice and style are represented in the art community? How can organizations help amplify diverse artistic perspectives?
2. Marketing Support: What kind of marketing help do you need the most? (e.g., social media strategies, connections to galleries, website assistance, etc.)
3️. Skill Development: How important is skill development to you? What kinds of workshops or training would you attend (business skills, art techniques, digital art, etc.)?
4. Career Resources: What resources would you find most helpful in growing your art career (mentorship, business coaching, grant writing, etc.)?
5. Networking Opportunities: What kinds of networking events or collaborations would help you connect with other artists, collectors, and art professionals?
6. Fair Compensation: Do you feel you are compensated fairly for your work? How can art organizations help ensure artists are valued and paid for their contributions?
7 Challenges in Your Career: What have been the biggest roadblocks in your art career, and how can an organization help overcome them?
8. Inclusivity & Diversity: How can art organizations create a more inclusive environment for artists from all backgrounds and disciplines?
