This was one of the other paintings I did. This was my absolute favorite abstract watercolor painting.

Painting what I'm feeling by laying down color allows me to reframe those initial feelings into something felt differently & it's always joy, may not have started out that way but when I'm done the perspective is usually *well that wasn't as big as I thought it was, what was all that fuss about"

When an artist says what they create is therapeutic they aren't being cheeky or trying to be a cliche, they actually mean it. Creating becomes more than an outward expression & can literally be life saving for some of us. Don't be afraid to ask an artist about their story.

This painting was with a gallery that went out of business & the owner said she wanted to buy it from me & instead never paid me for it so in essence it was stolen from me along with two other paintings she sold & never paid me for. Feels like a piece of me was stolen! Complete violation & she was so unapologetic about it...like "oh well, it's the cost of business"! Um nooooo.... excuse my language but F**K YOU!

This was long enough ago that you'd think I'd be over it BUT I'M JUST NOT! Clearly right lol

Another Louise DeMasi rose tutorial. She has a lot of great learning experiences from beginners to advanced lessons where you will def notice progress in your skills in a short period of time. Her techniques are easy to learn in a masterful way.

This is an example of painting the same scene more than once. Can't remember which one I did first but I knew I.could do it better the next round. This was a tutorial I did from Patreon from Louise DeMasi who is just an amazing artist and teacher. Highly recommend her if you're looking to improve on your watercolor skills.
