10,000 pounds of food! Yes that's correct, we collected 9,993 pounds of food to donate to the San Diego Food Bank. Weigh-in and distribution for the 15th Annual Bay Park Community Food Drive was yesterday. I am overwhelmed and so grateful for all the amazing donations and support of our neighborhood.
This year we again combined forces with our Bay Ho neighbors to make this the most successful food drive to date.
Thank you to Father Bratso of St. George Serbian Church for again being our collection and sorting site. Our neighborhood is blessed to have you as part of our community. We all appreciate the kind things you do for our community and neighborhood, they do not go unnoticed.
And thanks to my village that helped make this happen, drivers, sorters, printers and bag distributors to more than 1300 homes.
Mostly, THANK YOU Bay Park for stepping up in this very difficult time. Your generosity will help so many families.

I was driving home yesterday and they were putting up the new stop signs on the corner of Mactibby and Chicago. Just this morning on my way to Pilates class I saw one of my neighbors zip through it without even slowing down. I'm sure there will be a learning curve for all of us.
