Steve Wetherbee, who has worked with members from groups like Rush, Kansas, and Santana, and founded the studio over 30 years ago to provide excellent sound quality at awesome prices. Though we have had many buildings, our current recording facility is one of the best in town because it was built from the ground up to ensure superb acoustic quality. Our commitment to excellent sound quality and our great rates have consistently made us one of the top recording, mixing, and mastering studios in San Diego. Almost 75% of our business comes from returning clients because they know there is no other studio in San Diego that can compare. Our control room is equipped with a rare Trident TSM console with Jensen transformers. Our control room was completely designed with audio in mind, and has been fitted with a $60,000 Boxer Speaker system, which makes it an ideal room for any recording, mixing or mastering needs. We spared no expense on our near-field monitoring either, and after auditioning our Genelects, Tannoys, NS-10's, and Westlake BBSM-6, we currently use our BBSM-6 speakers.
