Dan and Phyllis Epstein, through the Epstein Family Foundation, have committed $10 million - their largest gift to the university - to support the new Epstein Family Foundation Military-Connected Center for Excellence. The initiative is creating pathways of opportunity for those dedicated to lives of service and leadership. The annual Jewish Family Service of San Diego ‘Trunk or Treat’ event brought smiles and laughter to families sheltering in the Balboa Avenue and Rose Canyon Safe Parking Lots.

Every night, Jewish Family Service of San Diego operates safe parking lots throughout San Diego County for San Diegans who are living out of their vehicles—many of whom are experiencing homelessness for the very first time.
The Safe Parking Program provides a welcoming environment, meaningful resources and tools, and dignified support to help families transition back into stable housing. 🎃

That’s the vision behind Little Mensches, a program started for kids ages 4 to 8 that teaches the joy and meaning of giving back.
