My chest felt tight as I wandered through the cemetery, gripping a bouquet of white roses. I headed toward Grandpa Robert’s resting place, each step making it harder to contain the flood of emotions I’d bottled up. I knelt beside his grave, and my heart sank at how neglected it looked. “Hi, Gramps,” I murmured, trying to steady my voice. “I’m sorry it’s been so long. We’re moving… Dad lost everything gambling, and my dream of becoming a flight engineer is over.” Tears welled up and spilled over before I could stop them, turning the world around me into a blur. As I wiped the grime from the headstone, my fingers brushed over some tiny bumps—almost like they were etched into the surface. Curious, I cleaned the area more carefully, then froze. “Coordinates?” I breathed. A wave of nostalgia rushed in—those old treasure hunts, the secret codes, Grandpa’s hand-drawn maps. Could this be one final clue he left behind? In that moment, the grave no longer felt like the end. It felt like the beginning of something he’d hidden just for me. "My wife’s office was broken into a night or two ago. So far insurance seems willing to cover everything which is great, but still a headache. They threw a rock through the window, (we found the rock) but left a small pile of this stuff behind. Best description i got from my wife was that it felt like a grain like millet or similar. Cops had no clue, but we turned it over to them anyway. I don’t think knowing what it is will be some miracle clue that tracks down the guy, but I’m still curious. And if any of you are in central California and run into someone selling pile of rayban or costa sunglasses that seems a little suspicious, hit me up.
