My goal with every project is to deliver a product that meets the high standards of modern commercial recordings. ** Lucid Sound \m/ Professional Audio Services **

As of 2015, I am no longer running the studio "full time". Due to time constraints, I'm very selective about the projects I accept. However, I still LOVE working with talented rock/metal bands! When I commit to a project, you get my fu

ll 100% - period! I listen to YOUR comments & suggestions and apply them the best way I can. Most of my editing (autotune, vocals & drum alignment, etc.) I listen to each section to preserve as much of the "original" feel as possible. Every mix I do is custom-tailored to YOUR song - No shortcuts! My rate is not cheap, but it is still nowhere near what a "well-known" engineer would charge for the same production level. Personal preferences aside, my equipment is THE BEST in the industry. It's no different than what you'll find in many big commercial studios.

Our Story

Lucid Mastering is home studio based in San Diego run by George Makris, drummer for Salvation In Nothing and formerly of Etched In Red.

The studio is equipped with both modern and vintage high-end equipment you’ll find in the big commercial studios, like Protools HDX, API, SSL, ADAM, Empirical Labs, Avalon, Neve analog summing for incredible sounding mixes, just to name a few... I also have a DW drum kit and high-end tube amps available to record with.

My goal with every project is to give musicians the best quality possible to deliver a product that meets the high standards of modern commercial recordings.

Due to other businesses I operate I no longer run the studio full-time, therefore, I’m very selective of the bands I choose to work with and I only take on projects I have a personal interest in. Audio engineering has been a deeply rooted passion of mine for over 15 years. I put my heart and soul into every project to capture your essence and to make ”your sound” come to life. No shortcuts! Nothing is half-assed or rushed to save time and maximize profits. I continue to work with bands because it’s what I love to do!
