We will mention on Sunday’s show the work Russell is doing to keep Love and Lake accessible to all Anglers. This is how you can help.
Dear Loveland Advocates & Stakeholders,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support with a $5 donation to fund my upcoming trip to Sacramento on November 5 for a long-promised advocacy meeting regarding Loveland Reservoir. On that day, I will be meeting with CalEPA Deputy Secretary Naimark and SWRCB Chief Counsel Lauffer, who have committed to sharing the position of California’s top regulators on the stewardship of the reservoir and the surrounding watershed.

This trip is vital to ensuring our community’s voice is heard on key topics, including the fishing program, wildlife protection, and wildfire risk management at Loveland Reservoir. My goal is to raise $400 through GoFundMe to cover travel and related expenses for this important effort.
If donations exceed the initial $400 goal, I will allow the amount to increase to cover the cost of a budget-conscious hotel stay for two nights in Sacramento. This accommodation is essential to enable me to participate fully in critical meetings on both November 4 and 5 without the challenges of same-day travel. Staying overnight ensures I am well-rested, prepared, and able to engage effectively with state officials and decision-makers. These modest expenses are necessary to maximize the impact of our advocacy efforts and ensure our community’s concerns are strongly represented.
Thank you for standing together—your support and advocacy truly make a difference in protecting Loveland Reservoir, our high-risk fire-prone region, the surrounding watershed, our community, future generations, and the wildlife, including protected species that benefit from good management and stewardship.
