Sugarfish takeout box is finally here! 🍣✨

The last time I came, they weren’t doing takeout yet. The wait time was over an hour, and there wasn’t even a line! I can definitely see that they prioritize dine-in over takeout.

So, if you’re planning to order takeout, plan ahead and maybe find something to do in the meantime in case the wait is long! 😮‍💨

San Diego Cars & Coffee ☕️❤️‍🔥

One of my favorite coffee vendors, Único. // The Wagon Café is back! They hosted a Cars & Coffee meet-up and it was a vibe 🚗☕️ They had 90s underground hip-hop playing, creative local vendors, and of course, some pretty cool cars.

They’re planning to host more events, so definitely stay tuned for what’s next!

Where to stay in San Diego 🦓🏨❣️

Whenever I’m on vacation, I’m not just looking for a place that’s conveniently located near the main attractions. I want to have an ✨experience✨ and that’s exactly what staying at Granger Hotel San Diego feels like.

This beautiful boutique hotel is located right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, putting you within walking distance of tons of bars, restaurants, and events. They’re even Michelin-recognized!

Rooms can start as low as $175 per night, depending on the date. The Granger Hotel is also housed in a historic building that has a pretty cool and unique past. It was once home to zoo animals many years ago! 🐆

Things worth knowing:

➳ Breakfast Buffet: $27.95 per person before tax. Kids 13 and under eat complimentary.

➳ Solana Coffee ☕️: Located in the lobby/parlor area.

➳ Dog-friendly: Dogs are welcome for an additional fee.

➳ Gym: The hotel doesn’t have its own gym, but you can request a pass to one of their partner fitness centers.

➳ Parking: There’s no dedicated parking lot. Valet parking is available for $65 per night, or you can self-park at one of the parking garages in downtown.

The most popular restaurant chain in China just opened its very first U.S. location right here in San Diego 🇨🇳✨

Chef Fei is now open at Westfield UTC, and this is a big deal. Chef Fei started in Hunan, the birthplace of Chinese stir-fry, and everything is cooked in a fully open kitchen so you can watch it all happen in real time.
Everything we tried (⭐ = favorites):

➳ Iced Lemon Tea ⭐
➳ Crispy Pineapple Orange Chicken ⭐
➳ Signature Stir-Fried Beef with Peppers
➳ Smashed Chili Eggplant with Century Egg
➳ Sauerkraut Fish Fillet ⭐
➳ Clay Pot Tofu ⭐
➳ Organic Lettuce Salad
➳ Crispy Rice Cake ⭐
➳ Golden Pumpkin Bun

A few things worth noting: we went during their soft opening and service was fast and the portions are huge. I recommend starting with the iced lemon tea, huge glass for the price and genuinely so refreshing. The orange chicken has more batter than chicken but honestly that batter is so good it tastes like biting into a plantain, so we’re not complaining. And if you order the signature stir-fried beef with peppers, the staff will actually chant for you. It has American Wagyu tossed hot and fast, incredibly tender. We did miss out on the noodles since they were sold out by the time we got there, but that just means we have a reason to go back.

Officially opening to the public on Sept. 16th! 🏎️🎢

The highly anticipated ride surrounding the franchise “Fast & Furious” is finally coming to Universal Studios Hollywood where you can drift in the franchise’s iconic cars and feel the rushing thrills like you would in the movies. Universal Studios Hollywood really outdone themselves this time.

This is probably the best ride at the park not gonna lie! 🤩 I was lucky enough to ride before they closed it down for the rest of the day again. They would randomly open it up, so you might get lucky!

From a fire-damaged, forgotten house in Barrio Logan to one of San Diego’s coziest Italian gems 🇮🇹✨

was brought back to life by a husband and wife team, and walking in feels a little like being welcomed into a friend’s home in Italy. They also earned a Bib Gourmand from Michelin, which recognizes spots that serve really good food at a great value.

Everything we tried:

➳ Mushroom Flan
➳ Crab Gnocchi
➳ Mafalde Ragu dell’Aia
➳ Ciccio
➳ Tiramisu

This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve been invited into a friend’s home in Italy for dinner, and it’s a place I’d happily return to ❤️

Themed Late Night Events in San Diego 💿🦋

Second Saturdays at Punch Bowl Social (PBS) in Downtown turn into the ultimate late-night hangout with After Dark Saturdays. Each month also brings different themed nights ranging from DJ’s spinning 90’s-00’s R&B to Latin Hits. There’s also drink specials and throwback board games, all with the energy PBS is known for.

I love that they have hourly raffle prizes up for grabs all night long. I’ve been to PBS countless times and there’s so many activities that are perfect for all party sizes. My favorites are bowling, karaoke, playing the arcade games, and taking photos at their photo booth 📸
