Today we’d like to introduce you to Ikaia Pal owner of GoatLifeMedia
Ikaia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today? I first started filming when I was a freshman in high school. I didn’t really care for it, I just thought of it as another class to help me graduate. As the years went by, life got kind of hard, and it was very frustrating, so I picked up a camera to get my mind off of things and started filming. I loved making skate and cinematic travel videos, but I felt like I wasn’t creating as much as I wanted to by doing that, so I enrolled in college and decided to work towards a film degree.
After school, I took a job in San Diego that required me to move, so in December of 2017, I made my way out here and have been loving the environment and people I’ve met along the way. Come mid-2018, I started filming the downtown nightlife. I began making videos for various clubs, brands, and celebrities. Some of which include Fluxx, Fashion Nova, Tyga, and many others. I hope the passion that I have for my work doesn’t go unnoticed and I continue getting to do more of what I love.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you? I lost my grandma three years ago. That was and still is the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with.
