Are you getting to know your family right now? I had the opportunity to get to know my mom and her family story of when her parents and sister first moved to Idaho from Iowa. I also learned more about my dad and what a wonderful man he was. I was only 12 years old when he passed away due to a hunting accident, so hearing stories about who he was, was heartwarming.

Now more than ever, is the perfect time to really get to know your parents, or to ask grandma and grandpa about their history Ask them about their ancestors, which side of their family came to America and when/where did they originally settle? What kind of work did they do growing up? What about their siblings, what was it like growing up with them, what is their favorite memory growing up? What were the holidays like? How did your parents and/or grandparents meet?
