NEW Community was proud to make its debut at Goldschmidt 2026 in Montréal, one of the world’s leading international conferences in geochemistry.
Throughout the conference, we connected with researchers working across geochemistry, environmental science, artificial intelligence, carbon-cycle research, contaminant remediation, energy resources, and sustainable development. Discussions on AI-ready geochemical data, enhanced rock weathering, carbon removal, mineral–microbe interactions, environmental pollution, and open research data highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Through booth presentations, printed materials, in-person conversations, conference networking platforms, and activities connected with the Mentor & Mentee Lounge, we introduced NEW Community’s vision for supporting open science, scholarly communication, early-career researchers, thematic collaboration, and international research networks.
Goldschmidt 2026 marked an exciting step in building stronger connections among researchers, editors, reviewers, institutions, and interdisciplinary teams worldwide. NEW Community looks forward to continuing these conversations and helping create a more open, inclusive, and effective scholarly community.
