I set up this backdrop for a friend’s baby’s first birthday photos, and in between, I managed to sneak in a few frames with my own little one—something I don’t do nearly enough. As a photographer, I’m always capturing moments for others, but it’s so easy to forget to do the same for myself.

This morning, I was talking to my husband about how wild it is that we’re parents. She spent some time at her Nana’s house, and walking past her room just felt… different. My friend said something today that stuck with me—our toddlers are turning into big kids. And I see it in her more and more each day. The way she talks, the way she expresses herself—watching her grow is the most incredible thing. So grateful for this little moment frozen in time ♡
