The mission of the MNNP’s organization is to improve the healthcare of mothers & their newborns through leadership, networking & staff education. The purpose of MNNP is to promote the professional development of perinatal nursing and to encourage a collaborative effort toward the improvement of perinatal nursing. Membership is open to Registered Nurses in advanced roles who provide maternal child

services in Michigan. This includes responsibilities of management, staff education, nursing faculty, public health, clinical nurse specialist and/or advanced practice with labor, delivery, postpartum or newborn focus.
