Saying goodbye to you, and not hearing your voice anymore is one of the most painful things Iāve ever felt in my life to this day. I think about you nonstop and wishing this is all still a bad dream. For those who do not know my sister Chenoa just passed away a few weeks ago and today is her birthday. She would have been 32 years old. For the past 2 1/2 years, she was fighting stage four colon cancer and holding her ground until the very end. My last words with my sister weāre talking about forgetting any hatred we have from the past or regrets and try to live a better life moving forward and being thankful for what we have. All she wanted was to bring our family together before she passed away, and Iām going do everything I can to follow her words till itās my time to come see her.
Iāll always be there to protect her children as they grow up and share many memories of their mother on who she was, and how life was growing up together with her and my little brother. I promise to be the best uncle I can be for them, and strongly live life with a different purpose/meaning. I love you chenoa, and I promise to live by your words/request of me.
I donāt know how long or when the next time will meet again but please save me a warm seat when itās my time to come to you.
Your loving little brother,
Simeon Charles Rust Van Izquierdo
