diaTribe® The mission of the diaTribe Foundation is to support individuals with diabetes and prediabetes and to advocate for effective action.

The mission of the diaTribe Foundation is to help people with diabetes and prediabetes and to advocate for action. diaTribe is dedicated to bringing people with diabetes to the conversation on regulatory issues, connecting the field and the diabetes community, and changing the narrative around diabetes. diaTribe Learn: We’re committed to helping people with diabetes live happier, healthier, and mo

re hopeful lives through our diaTribe publication, Learn, which reaches over 6 million people annually. Our writing team has deep insights into the patient experience and closely covers the latest research, treatments, and initiatives in diabetes. Our tagline is “Making Sense of Diabetes.”

Time in Range: Everyone with diabetes deserves to have the tools, therapies, and technologies to live their best life. The diaTribe Foundation formed The Time in Range Coalition with a multi-stakeholder group of foundations, non-profit organizations, researchers, people with diabetes, clinicians, and industry. Our goal is to establish time in range as an essential part of diabetes care and to make time in range accessible to all people with diabetes and their care teams. This involves work in multiple areas, including regulatory, clinical, research, and patient education. Stigma: We aim to reduce the impact of diabetes on society and improve the lives of people with diabetes by fostering an understanding of the disease, eliminating misplaced blame, and ensuring access to care. We believe that addressing diabetes stigma is an essential missing element of effective diabetes care and mental wellness, and we aim to change that through the work of our program, dStigmatize. Our team is fiercely committed to improving the lives of people with diabetes. We are all personally touched by this disease, and some of us have it ourselves. Our work is a labor of love, so we invite you to join the diaTribe.

We are THRILLED to announce the arrival of something special…

For the past year and a half, we’ve been working behind the scenes to convene healthcare professionals and people with diabetes from 6 different continents to publish an international consensus on diabetes tech use in pregnancy!

This consensus provides 14 expert-backed clinical recommendations for CGM and AID use for people with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes—so that healthcare professionals feel more empowered to leverage the best tools for diabetes management during pregnancy, and no one who is pregnant needs to play guessing games when it comes to their glucose management tools.

This consensus is another step forward in ensuring that people with diabetes feel capable and empowered during their pregnancies. We can’t wait for you to check it out!

🚨More updates from the 2026 Standards of Care–Exercise and Physical Activity!

This year’s update expanded on recommendations for physical activity and exercise, including more detailed guidance about safe glucose management during exercise for children and adolescents.

Whether it’s daily forms of movement like getting steps in while cleaning or structured activities like a cycling class, movement is important for supporting diabetes management, but it can also be a deeply personal and loaded subject.

If you aren’t sure of how to start the conversation about exercise or how to be supportive of people with diabetes on their physical activity journeys, check out our latest guides:

At its core, food noise seems to involve persistent, unwanted thoughts about food that cause discomfort and potentially lead to harm.

While the concept is not new, conversations about food noise have recently surged as many people taking weight management medications like GLP-1s have experienced less food noise.

If you’ve been curious about food noise, what it is, and what strategies there are to help manage food noise or improve your relationship with food, check out our latest article: https://diatribe.org/understanding-diabetes/food-noise
