As someone in a loving marriage where we both show unconditional and genuine love and respect for each other’s culture, I simply can’t imagine the nightmare of a relationship some folks are in where their partner is CONSISTENTLY AND OPENLY racist.

It happens all the time: a racist ydood will marry a woman of color and berate her people on the daily.

She can’t eat her traditional food or cook it because it “stinks up the house.” She can’t speak her native language when she’s on the phone with her parents back in the motherland because he can’t understand what they’re talking about and interprets it all as scheming and gossip directed at him.

You see this all the time in 90 Day Fiance. You see this all the time in men’s only spaces and the ydoods are BRAGGING that they’ve got their wife and kids under slave-like control. You see this in all the cases of ydoods donating s***m to multiple banks in multiple cities/countries as part of their fe**sh to “spread my seed.”

There is just an overwhelming number of ydoods who harbor these colonialist views when it comes to dating.

Learn about our history of invasion and oppression of other nations. Understand why so many people around the world look at us as the "greatest evil." Recognize why so many people know more about American politics than Americans know about international politics. Read about all the leaders we've assasinated and governments we've toppled.

Americans have the privilege of staying in their bubble, caring only about the life they life inside their white picket fence.

But for millions of folks in the global south, they have no choice but to follow America since our nation directly shapes the stability and future of theirs.
