Missed the first 20 minutes of the party dedicated to the end of filming of his new film in one of the clubs in New York.
He waited patiently in the rain to be let in.
No one recognized him.
The club owner said: "I didn't even know Keanu was standing in the rain waiting to be let in - he didn't say anything to anyone."
"He travels by public transport". "He easily communicates with homeless people on the street and helps them".
- He is only 58 years old (September 2, 1964)
- He can just eat a hot dog in the park, sitting between ordinary people. - After filming one of the "Matrix", he gave all the stuntmen a new motorcycle - in recognition of their skill.
- He gave up most of the fee for the salaries of costume designers and computer scientists who draw special effects in "The Matrix" - decided that their share of participation in the budget of the film was underestimated.
- He reduced his fee in the film The Devil's Advocate" to have enough money to invite Al Pacino.
- Almost at the same time his best friend died; his girlfriend lost a child and soon died in a car accident, and his sister fell ill with leukemia.
Keanu did not break: he donated $5 million to the clinic that treated his sister, refused to shoot (to be with her), and created the Leukemia Foundation, donating significant sums from each fee for the film. You can be born a man, but to remain one..

1. The Godfather (1972)
A legendary mafia epic. Pacino’s quiet intensity as Michael Corleone is haunting and unforgettable.
2. Serpico (1973)
Gritty and powerful. Pacino delivers a raw performance as a cop battling corruption from within the NYPD.
3. Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
Electric and emotional. Pacino brings vulnerability and desperation to a true-crime anti-hero in a botched bank robbery.
4. Scarface (1983)
Over-the-top but iconic. Pacino’s Tony Montana is both terrifying and magnetic in this bloody rise-and-fall crime saga.

A passionate, dramatic showcase. Pacino is charismatic and commanding as a blind, embittered veteran. “Hoo-ah!” earned him an Oscar.
6. Carlito’s Way (1993)
Elegantly tragic. Pacino shines as a reformed gangster pulled back into a life he’s trying to leave behind.
7. Heat (1995)

Nanye-hi (Nancy Ward): Beloved Woman of the Cherokee
Nanye-hi was born into the Cherokee Wolf clan circa 1738. In 1755, she stood by her husband during a fight against the Creeks, chewing the lead for bullets in order to provide his ammunition with deadly ridges. When her husband was fatally shot, Nanye-hi grabbed a rifle, rallied her fellow fighters and entered the battle herself. With her on their side, the Cherokee won the day.
These actions led to Nanye-hi being named Ghighau (Beloved Woman) of the Cherokee, a powerful position whose duties included leading the Women’s Council and sitting on the Council of Chiefs. Nanye-hi also took part in treaty talks (to the surprise of male colonists when they were on the other side of the bargaining table).
As the years progressed, some Cherokee wanted to fight the Europeans who continued to crowd into their land. But Nanye-hi, who likely realized the Cherokee couldn’t win against the numerous and well-supplied colonists, thought the two sides needed to learn to live together (she practiced coexistence herself, marrying an Englishman, Bryant Ward, in the late 1750s, which led to her being known as Nancy Ward). At a 1781 treaty conference, Nanye-hi declared, “Our cry is all for peace; let it continue. This peace must last forever.”
Seeking peace didn’t stop Nanye-hi from recognizing the dangers of ceding Cherokee territory — in 1817, she made an unsuccessful plea not to give up more land. When she died in 1822, she’d spent years trying to help her people acclimate to a changing world.

THERE WERE FEMALE WARRIORS TOO:
Shown here is Moving Robe Woman, a Hunkpapa (Sitting Bull's branch of the Sioux).
INSP explains:
Moving Robe Woman was no stranger to battle. At age 17, she took part in a war party against the Crow. In July 1876, now at about age 23, she was among the Sioux and Lakota who camped at the Greasy Grass (Little Big Horn). On this fateful day, she was digging turnips when a warrior rode by warning women to take their children to the hills. General Custer was about to attack. Moving Robe Woman raced back to her lodge where she learned that her brother, One Hawk, was killed in an earlier battle with Custer’s men. Now, in deep mourning and fueled by revenge, Moving Robe braided her hair, painted her face red, mounted her horse, and with her brother’s war staff in hand, galloped into battle. “I was a woman,” she reportedly said, “But I was not afraid.” Her determination emboldened the male warriors to fight ferociously for their way of life, in what would end up an overwhelming victory for the Native Americans. Custer’s entire cavalry, 268 men, himself included, were killed—at least one at the hands of Moving Robe. She may have gotten her vengeance, but it was bitter, and it came at a cost. She later said, “[No one] staged a victory dance that night. They were mourning their own dead.” Moving Robe Woman died in 1935 at Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota. She was about 81 years old

No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.
When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought;
To be a caring person. ♥️

Canada’s Walk of Fame honoured Indigenous actor Tantoo Cardinal with her own star last Saturday.
Tantoo, who starred in Kevin Costner's 1990 film, Dances with Wolves, and in Martin Scorsese’s recent blockbuster, Killers of the Flower Moon, noted her lifelong aim at the ceremony.
“There’s a lot of healing that’s needed to be done in our community, and so that’s always what I’ve tried to work with,” said Cardinal.
“I put in my two bits and now the road’s open.
I’m in a new age and I’m in a new place in my career, and a lot of things that I was so concerned about in the early days are no longer a responsibility that I need to hold on to and carry.”

Photographer Frank Rinehart took this magnificent photo of Pete Mitchell of the Ponca tribe. Rinehart spent a lot of time photographing the Native American people and their way of life. He wanted to capture their stories and each individual personality through his photos.
The goal was for non-indigenous people to get a glimpse into the their lives and begin to understand them. This photo was taken in 1898, during the Omaha Indian Congress in Nebraska, which was the biggest gathering of Native American tribes of its kind.
