From vibrant samba dancers and live drums to colorful costumes, cultural performances, lowriders, and massive crowds, the Carnaval SF Grand Parade once again proved why it’s one of the biggest and most iconic street festivals in California.

Bruce Lee’s legacy continues in San Francisco as Assemblymember Matt Haney proposes a statewide Bruce Lee Day in California. This special event featured Shannon Lee, daughter of Bruce Lee, District 11 Supervisor Chyanne Chen, Mark Young from Stand with Asians, and Justin Hoover with Chinese Historical Society of America CHSA.

AB 2455 will establish May 17 as Bruce Lee Day in California, an annual statewide observance honoring the San Francisco-born martial arts icon’s lasting impact on film, culture and the Chinese American community. The proposal would make Bruce Lee the first Chinese American commemorated with a day in California state law.
