Missed the first 20 minutes of the party dedicated to the end of filming of his new movie at one of the clubs in New York.
He waited patiently in the rain to be let in.
No one recognized him.
The club owner said: โ€œI didn't even know Keanu was standing in the rain waiting to get in - he didn't say anything to anyone.โ€
"He travels by public transport."
"He easily communicates with homeless people on the streets and helps them."
- He was only 60 years old (September 2, 1964)
- He can only eat hot dogs in the park, sitting among normal people.
- After filming one of the "Matrix", he gave all the stuntmen a new motorcycle - in recognition of their skills.
- He gave up most of the salaries of the costume designers and computer scientists who drew the special effects on "The Matrix" - deciding that their share of the film's budget was assessed short.
- He reduced his salary for the movie "The Devil's Advocate" to have enough money to invite Al Pacino.
- Almost at the same time his best friend passed away; His girlfriend lost a child and soon died in a car accident, and his sister suffered from leukemia.
Keanu didn't fail: he donated $5 million to the clinic that treated his sister, refused to be filmed (to be with her), and founded the Leukemia Foundation, donating significant amounts from each fee for the movie.

They said their ancestors had always lived there.
In 2022, science finally agreed.
For generations, the Blackfeet Nation passed down a powerful story:
That their people had lived on the plains of what is now Montana since time immemorial. Long before maps, fences, or settlers.
Some historians dismissed it as myth โ€” assuming the Blackfeet migrated there more recently.
But a groundbreaking DNA study in 2022 changed that.
Researchers analyzed the genetic material of Blackfeet individuals and found a distinct ancestral lineage, one that diverged from other Indigenous groups around 18,000 years ago. That timeline lines up with the Ice Age โ€” when early humans crossed into North America and began to settle the land.
The findings were more than just data.
They offered scientific validation of what the Blackfeet had always known. Their oral history wasnโ€™t just legend โ€” it was ancestral memory, carried forward across millennia.
The Blackfeet Nation, part of the wider Blackfoot Confederacy, were known as expert horsemen and skilled hunters. But their deepest skill mightโ€™ve been storytelling โ€” keeping a record of belonging without ever writing it down.
Today, those stories and that land remain inseparable.
And for once, science wasnโ€™t ahead of the story. It was catching up.
Had you heard this before?
Do you think oral history deserves more respect โ€” even without โ€œproofโ€?

When Lou Diamond Phillips arrived on location in 1987, he carried two suitcases: one with costumes, the other with history books on Mescalero Apache culture. Unsatisfied with the brief notes in the script, he spent evenings around the hotel firepit reading aloud to castmates about the tribeโ€™s tracking methods and warrior codes. Emilio Estevez joked that Phillips was โ€œour walking library,โ€ but in truth those impromptu lessons changed the filmโ€™s tone directors began tweaking dialogue to honour Chavezโ€™s heritage rather than stereotype it.
Midโ€‘shoot, Phillips convinced the producers to bring in a Mescalero elder, George Blaylock, as a cultural advisor. Blaylock taught the Regulators how to read river currents and leave sign cuts on tree bark; he even showed Phillips an old prayer song. Phillips asked to incorporate a few lines of that chant into the scene where Chavez ponders his fate beside a campfire. Crew members remember the hush that fell when he sang it no boom mics, no camera whir, just desert wind carrying an ancient melody through make believe gun smoke.
Perhaps the most treasured behindโ€‘theโ€‘scenes tale happened on the last day of filming. Phillips gathered cast and crew before sunrise and presented each with a small pouch of desert sage tied in red clothโ€”his personal thankโ€‘you for treating Chavez with respect. He saved one pouch for himself, tucking it into his costume before walking into his characterโ€™s final battle. Years later, he keeps that same pouch framed in his study, a reminder that sometimes the greatest role an actor can play is historian, guardian, and storyteller all at once.

THE MUSICAL REBEL WHO CHANGED HISTORY: How One Native American Girl Turned Boarding School Oppression Into Musical Revolution!
Meet Zitkรกla-ล รก, the incredible Native American woman who refused to let anyone erase her identity! In the late 1800s, she was sent to a boarding school designed to strip away her heritage and culture. But instead of giving up, this amazing woman used her talent to fight back in the most beautiful way possible - through music that would change American history forever.
THE GROUNDBREAKING ACHIEVEMENT
In 1913, Zitkรกla-ล รก made history by co-composing the first-ever American Indian opera, "The Sun Dance." This wasn't just any ordinary musical work - it was a revolutionary fusion of traditional Native American melodies with European classical music forms. She didn't just create beautiful music; she created a powerful statement that Native American culture deserved recognition and respect on the world's biggest stages.
MUSIC AS RESISTANCE
What makes her story so powerful is how she turned oppression into opportunity. While boarding schools were trying to destroy Native American culture, Zitkรกla-ล รก mastered classical music and then used it as a weapon of cultural preservation. Her opera was based on the sacred Sun Dance ceremony, which was actually banned by the U.S. government at the time. Through her music, she was secretly keeping her people's traditions alive and sharing them with the world.
BEYOND THE STAGE
But Zitkรกla-ล รก's impact went far beyond music. She became one of the most important Native American rights activists of her time, using her platform and fame to fight for justice and recognition for her people. She co-founded the National Council of American Indians and spent her life lobbying for increased political power for Native Americans. Her music gave her a voice that couldn't be silenced.
LEGACY OF COURAGE
Today, Zitkรกla-ล รก stands as a symbol of how art can be the ultimate form of resistance. She proved that you can honor your roots while mastering new skills, and that creativity can be the most powerful tool for social change. Her story reminds us that sometimes the best way to fight oppression is to excel so brilliantly that the world has no choice but to listen.
This is what happens when talent meets determination and cultural pride! Zitkรกla-ล รก's symphony of resistance continues to inspire musicians, activists, and anyone fighting to preserve their identity in a world that tries to erase it.
