Hi everyone, we wanted to let you know about an exciting upcoming project. From June 1–15, the PRISM Quartet will partner with the PARTCH Ensemble and Sō Percussion, and composers Ken Ueno, Steven Mackey, and Stratis Minakakis to premiere new music combining saxophones and percussion, including Harry Partch instruments. The project also features music by Donnacha Dennehy, Kati Agócs, Georg Friedrich Haas, Steve Lehman, Iannis Xenakis, Bryce Dessner, and Harry Partch. Hey! What would you have as far as a "Great Gate" church bell in Eb or a low chime? Brass Band of Battle Creek is looking for something for the December concert.
A big thank you to California Percussion for these bass chimes last weekend. They were used by Colin Currie for his performance of Veni, Veni, Emmanuel. They sounded great!!!

The Aspen Music Festival and School students will be playing on a ton of top notch gear this summer from Pearl Orchestral Instruments, Adams Musical Instruments US and Yamaha Percussion Instruments as well as Sabian and Avedis Zildjian Company cymbals...all provided by California Percussion Rental.
California Percussion Rental gear has been on the road in March with Colin Currie and the Baltimore Symphony performing Jennifer Higdon's Percussion Concerto. Colin and the BSO performed the concerto in Baltimore and then took it on the road for a West Coast tour. Thanks Colin for your support!
