Apple/Tree now Canadian Ted Cruz is easier to understand!

In the video of a 2012 speech to Texas tea partyers, Rafael Cruz sounds like a birther – ironic, given that his son, Canadian-born Sen. Ted Cruz, faces potential birtherism if he runs for president.

BART continues to run, but the Unions score no points

The BART strike has been averted for at least a week, and given the huge tie-up on the Bay Bridge this morning, it’s a blessing. However, the BART Union’s once again have missed an opportunity to g...

BART Just Gives it Away - So What?

The press today is reporting on the millions of dollars lost to BART by granting very generous free rider benefits to employees and their families, apparently for life.
Yes, this benefit does appear rather generous, particularly when compared to me the more limited free rides offered by other transit systems. However, I’m not that put off by this.
First of all, there is a real cost to opening and drinking a can of soda at Facebook or Google. There is a cost to providing free burgers to employees at McDonalds. Is there a true cost to the reported 2,000 or so daily rides on a system already accommodating more than 400,000? Is it really that much more in wear and tear?
And it is not fair to total the lost fares to more than $2 million per year. There is little chance that if the rides had to be paid for that the numbers would be anywhere near the same totals.
While there is a real and measurable cost to providing health care to the employees and their entire families, a significant cost to fully funding employees pension plans, the cost of giving a free ride is not worth the newspaper ink spent on it.

Wade Robson is now attempting to sue the Michael Jackson estate, claiming that performer sexually molested him when he was a child.
In 2005, Robson testified under oath on behalf of Jackson, claiming no abuse ever took place, thus resulting in MJ not being convicted, and certainly impacting any civil settlements or other payments Jackson made to accusers.
Since what he says today, and what Robson said in 2005 are diametrically opposite, he either lied under oath in 2005, or he is lying now attempting to extort damages from the Jackson estate.
Either way, it sounds like criminal charges need to be filed against Mr. Robson, doesn't it?
What could be worse than lying under oath to protect a child predator, depriving his victims of justice; or likewise lying about a dead performer, attempting to line his pockets?

Another legal case is heading for the estate of Michael Jackson, this time from Wade Robson, a famed choreographer who alleges that he experienced "childhood sexual abuse" by the late pop icon.
