This one stood out, because someone had made an industrial Chess Set out of Bolts, Filters and Thingimiggies! RELATIONSHIP AND REFERRAL IN MY OPINION IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ANY BUSINESS FOUNDATION! You often hear me talk about struggle and relationship here at “The Art of Active Networking”. I hear some of you also talk about how important it is, but I rarely see most folks step up and make the real effort to refer each other and to build those deep and sustainable relationships. It’s almost as if they see is as a “Have to” situation vs. a “Get to” way of business. Much like Networking, I know folks who attend 3 or 4 ’Networking’ events per week, I also know that they struggle more than most people I know. I believe it’s because they can’t stop selling long enough to actually listen to the problem and help the very person in front of them. So here is what we do…we ask the question, “How can I help you do better right now?” The difference between my folks and most other networkers, is that most of my folks get it and work hard to help each other. A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! I've always loved this quote and posted it before. Each New Year I reread it to see if my perspective has changed. Passed years seem safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance.” ― Beryl Markham, West with the Night I think that we all play it a little safe, the past is known, comfortable and as Beryl said often perceived as better. In 2017 don’t play it safe. Don’t look at this coming year as formidable. You are right where you are supposed to be, doing right what you are supposed to be doing. I just found real #treasure for my new room and cellar called #thesippingroom Look at these cool #gauges @ronbergstudio and @markbusse SOOO COOL! Big progress since this morning and a few pics ago! All the walls are finished and everything, including the ceiling is now insulated! I am building a #secret #speakeasy and #winecellar in #sanfrancisco called #thesippingroom and I am making HUGE progress today! Their are 2 rooms, one is hidden and a fireplace mantle on each side of the wall hides the entrance and even when opened appears to go nowhere! Today I bought the #antique mantels and a #stunning #raw #turkish #stone for the floor! Insulation went in today as well. Sheetrock and tile are next then paint, wine racks and lighting!
