As Fidelium, he gained recognition for his intricate compositions and innovative sound design. Early works like Believe Me This Is Home showcased a melodic IDM style influenced by artists like Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin. Fidelium’s sound expanded with God Tank, featured on the IDMf Netlabel’s Beyond The Silence And Story, and reached new heights with the critically acclaimed Diametry LP, a gapless sonic adventure that highlighted Baker’s skills in sound design and composition. In 2013, Baker revisited his earlier work for I’ll Be Famous When I’m Dead, reimagining tracks from 2003–2007 and releasing them alongside remix stems for collaboration. These releases established Fidelium as an artist willing to experiment and evolve, setting the stage for what would later become SUBQUiRE. As SUBQUiRE, Wayne Baker continues to push his creative boundaries.
