The Beginner's Guide

🌌 Everything you need to know before chasing the Aurora.
A natural light display created when particles from the Sun interact with Earth's atmosphere.
One of nature's greatest shows.

Where can you see them?

Look toward the northern regions beneath the Auroral Oval.
🇨🇦 Canada • 🇺🇸 Alaska • 🇳🇴 Norway • 🇸🇪 Sweden • 🇫🇮 Finland • 🇮🇸 Iceland

When should you go?

🌙 Dark nights
☁️ Clear skies
🌌 Strong Aurora activity
❄️ Long winter nights

Get away from city lights

The darker the sky, the better.
Find a remote lake, mountain viewpoint, forest clearing, or quiet road far from artificial light.

Check the clouds

Even a strong Aurora can disappear behind clouds.
Before heading out, check:
☑️ Cloud cover
☑️ Aurora activity
☑️ Darkness
☑️ Local weather

What should you bring?

🧥 Warm layers
🧤 Gloves
🧢 Hat
🔋 Power bank
🔦 Headlamp
📱 Charged phone
📷 Camera + tripod

Dont Expect a Move Every NIght

Sometimes the Aurora looks like a faint glow to the naked eye.
Sometimes the entire sky comes alive.

🌌 Be patient.

The best tip!
Don't leave too early.
The Aurora can appear, disappear, and return later.
Sit back. Stay warm. Look up.

NOW YOU'RE READY. 🌌

Have you ever seen the Northern Lights?

✨ The waiting is part of the adventure.

This doesn't look real.

But somewhere in the frozen wilderness, nights like this actually exist. 🌌❄️
