MY DEAR GRANDMA LEFT ME A PHOTO OF US, WHILE MY MOM AND SISTER GOT HER HOUSE AND CAR ā BUT SOON I REALIZED HOW WISE SHE TRULY WAS
Since childhood, my grandmother, Grace, was the closest person to me. My mother was often busy with her own life, and my older sister barely acknowledged me. Grandma noticed this and couldnāt stand to see me neglected. When I was 6, she took me in and became my world. She never missed a school performance or football game, raised money for my education, and was always there when I needed someone to talk to.
When she passed away, it felt like a part of me was gone. I was 26, but I couldnāt hold back tears at her funeral. Then came the reading of her will. The one from the zoo, when you were 8 years old. Love you. Grandma." I froze, confused and heartbroken. Why would the woman who raised me leave only this? My mother and sister smiled, clearly thinking they had received the most.
The next day, I went to Grandmaās house. My mother was already going through her things, preparing to sell the property. I didnāt say a word. I just walked up to the photo on the wallāGrandma and me at the zoo, both smiling. I took it down with tears in my eyes. When I got back to my small apartment, I noticed a crack in the frame. I wanted to replace it with a nicer one I had received as a birthday gift. But as I opened the old frame, something on the inside of the back cover caught my eye. I stood there, completely still. "Oh my... Grandma, you really thought of everything." FULL STORYā¬
