Death Warmed Up

Death Warmed Up Sometimes in life we need a kick up the backside, sometimes we need support. You only have one life to live, before deaths knocking on your door. "No". "Yes".

Here we remind folk of our mortalities, in a morbidly comical fashion, we aim to inspire despite our losses. This page is very heavily inspired by the character "Death" from the Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" (and others). Yes, yes I know it is morbid to make light of Terry Pratchett's "Death", but he was a comical author after all. And although heavily inspired Mr Pratchett's imagination, this "Death" is not his "Death. This "Death" is a little warmer but the comedy persists. And with that said, the artwork is inspired by literature, after all "Death" chases everyone, some stand and face it, some sing and rejoice it. My dad persuaded me into making a promise, years before he died, "Son, at my funeral, I want you to enjoy it like you've never enjoyed yourself, laugh and be merry". "Do you care what they think of you?". "Do you love me". "Then promise me". "I can't, the best I can do is promise that given the circumstances I will do my best to enjoy myself thoroughly". "Done", and he knows that I'd enjoy it too, the black sheep singing karaoke "Always look the bright side of death, der dum der dum", and they leave the building in digust, which only made me laugh harder.
