On Saturday, I went to Harbor Freight to see how much winches for my Jeep cost. Near the tool shelf, I noticed a confused guy who was clearly choosing his first hydraulic jack. I know a thing or two about these things, so I went over to him, explained the difference between the models, and recommended a reliable and inexpensive option. He was very pleased, thanked me, and left.
Imagine my surprise when, five minutes later, he caught up with me at the checkout and asked for my Facebook profile.
“Sir, I think you'll find this useful. I'm in a private chat group where we discuss discounts and giveaways at major stores, and the other day I saw a Badland winch giveaway there. I don't need it myself, but it might be useful to you.”
Badland was exactly what I wanted! :D
I thanked him, we exchanged contact details, and he sent me a link to the promotion. It turned out to be a short online questionnaire from Harbor Freight, which you had to fill out to open boxes with prizes, like in a lottery. I think you've already guessed that I got a Badland Apex winch 12000 lb for only $10 — the cost of shipping.
Now my Jeep has a new winch! I shared this story so that decent American men could save money for their families. Help each other, we are all sons of a great nation! 🇺🇸
