Meet our latest Make Change Partner: ReCREATE Waste Collaborative. They hired, trained and managed a team of highly-trained professionals to run a door-to-door awareness and technical assistance campaign for residents and business owners in San Diego as part of our first campaign for our latest SoCal client. Their multilingual teams met with locals where they live to help San Diego improve organic waste recycling (AKA composting!) We can’t wait for another opportunity to partner with such an amazing team.

San Diego’s seagulls are tired of picking up your food scraps, and they’ve got something to say about it! To help San Diego Environment spread the word about what goes in the green bin, we enlisted some local gulls well-armed with info on how the scraps you toss become compost that reduces climate pollution and keeps parks and green spaces thriving. By tapping into the “birds with arms” meme, we turned internet absurdity into a PSA you can’t unsee.

Huge props to the original creator who jumped in with . . . both arms.

Next up in our Make Change Partners series: Action Research.

When we were looking for a research partner for a major recycling campaign, Action Research got our attention as data experts that truly understand what leads to behavior change. They are experts in Community-Based Social Marketing (CBSM) led by best-in-class behavioral scientists that design campaigns from saving water to improving public health that produce real results.

Their founder, Jennifer Tabanico, co-wrote Fostering Sustainable Behavior, which is the same program the MLT team has gone through for training! We knew that this is a partnership that was meant to be.

The Action Research team continues to impress us with their rigor, insight and genuine curiosity. Together, we’ve been building the foundation for a campaign launching in 2026. With their help, we’ve identified the barriers, motivations and gathered the baseline data that will help us create a measurable, impactful campaign to .

MLT is honored to announce that our composting campaign for has won a Silver Anthem Award for Sustainability, Environment & Climate. The are the global standard in social impact, with more than 2,000 entrants from 42 countries.

With a modest budget we tasked creators dressed as beloved foods to perform short, catchy songs from the point of view of pizza slices, fruits, and veggies tired of being trashed. Through humor, music, and character-driven storytelling, composting became memorable, shareable, understandable—and fun. Hopefully more folks will get these songs between their ears and put leftover food where it belongs—in the green bin!

“This work is difficult, but not knowing what to do is not an excuse to do nothing. – Teresa Baker

When we think of Partners In Change, Teresa is one leader that had to be on the list: honest, unflinching, and grounded in optimism.

In 2023, MLT partnered with Teresa for her guidance on our first Presidio Park campaign. Through the process, she reminded us that engaging broader audiences at the Presidio wasn’t just about messaging — it was about being intentional and taking extra steps to ensure we were reflecting the Bay Area’s dynamic makeup in our campaigns.

Teresa has also helped found numerous projects, including the Women’s Outdoor Summit For Empowerment, the Outdoor CEO Diversity Pledge, which is housed under the In Solidarity Project and, most recently, the .

Swipe through to hear her story — in her own words — and learn how you can be part of this movement to bring diversity and inclusion to the great outdoors so that we might keep it great for everyone for generations to come.

At Most Likely To, we’re in the business of making change. While our mission is to help our clients succeed, it’s also to foster positive change in our communities and world. But we can’t do it alone. Our partners help us to connect with the communities we serve in authentic and effective ways. Our partners provide invaluable insights, talented creativity and are often the ones working with residents directly. We’d like you to meet them and the wonderful work they do, not just for our clients but for their communities and the environment.

To kick off our Partners in Change series, get to know the (Community Youth Center of San Francisco) who has been a trusted resource and haven for youth and families across SF for over 55 years. Their mission is to encourage a diverse population of high-need young people to explore their full potential through academic, career, family, and community life.

We spoke with Victim Services Program Supervisor, Dr. Dennis Chen, Psy.D to learn more about the CYC’s mission and achievements.

We turned a tiny budget into a mighty campaign for ‘s effort to reduce food waste. It’s not quite like anything we’ve ever done before - and we had a blast creating it.

With some costumes and the prompt “Nobody likes to be used and then kicked to the curb. That goes for your food, too.” These composting rock stars crafted original songs about putting your leftover food where it belongs. They are meant to get stuck in your head so that you’ll remember to ‘put it in the green bin!’

There’s a song for all tastes - Which gives you an ear worm?

MLT is taking our talent down to sunny SoCal for our newest client - the San Diego Environmental Services Department. Tasked with creating a behavior-change campaign for their Organic Waste Recycling Program, MLT will lead a dream team of partners specifically chosen to inspire San Diegans to participate in organic waste recycling. Reducing waste takes effort from all of us, so we believe this team effort is a fitting way to help San Diego get closer to Zero Waste.
