God’s abundant provision in Him—every spiritual blessing—is far greater than our weaknesses. Looking to Christ in faith, may we learn with Augustine that God indeed grants what He commands. —L. Michael Morales

Christians have never been content to treat free will as a philosophical abstraction. We want to know how the will relates to salvation. Does man choose God? Does God choose man? Or is it a combination of both? —Thomas Brewer

By bearing and enduring pain, we walk in the footsteps of Jesus and mirror and reflect Him to onlookers. Pain and suffering are opportunities to show the love that God has shed abroad in our hearts. —R.C. Sproul

God is truth (John 14:6). In fact, truth is such an essential aspect of His character that He is called by the name “Faithful and True” (Rev. 19:11).

The human dilemma is this: God is holy, and we are not. God is righteous, and we are not. —R.C. Sproul

Between “bearing” and “enduring,” we are told that love “believes all things, hopes all things.” It’s only as we believe the Word of God and have confidence in our future that we’re able to bear and to endure. —R.C. Sproul

Unhampered and unfettered truth is the only ground on which honest, open, and free relationships may be built—whether in families and communities or among societies and nations. —George Grant

If the bravest thing we can do is ask for help, it’s a good thing God gave us a Helper. —Pierce Taylor Hibbs

I’ve heard it said that real hope is painful, because hoping means risking disappointment—even despair. That’s why we sometimes avoid hope. But avoiding hope is a perilous move. It leaves us hollow and heartless. Without hope, we become obsessed with ourselves in the here and now.
