I’m so rusty at taking images for the pure pleasure of line and form and beauty. Many, many years ago, I actually majored in photography, but gave it up for other things. Although my world is full of color now (I mean, I teach the subject for god’s sake), maybe focusing my lens on just the play of light and dark would do my creative soul some good every once in awhile.

Wine tasting at yesterday. Such a beautiful estate. The old red barn from the early 1800s had so much character, and the tasting itself, which we did in the properties original Victorian farmhouse, was great. We tried five different Cabs, each from a different vineyard, each with a distinct profile. Such a treat!

Anniversary dinner last night at Redbird in LA. Lovely space, delicious food (the house cured sardines and the Cavatelli were particularly good), and some wonderful champagne and wine made for a wonderful evening. Left feeling full and fabulous.
