We’ve been connecting with our neighbors on Nextdoor for a while now, but we have something new to celebrate: Ollie’s Angels is officially in the running for a 2026 Nextdoor Fave Award! 🏆

We started Ollie’s Angels because we believe meaningful animal welfare work begins right here in our own community. We wanted to build an organization that could help keep beloved pets with their families whenever possible, support homeless animals in finding loving homes, provide resources to people and pets who need them, and work alongside others in our community who share that same goal.

If Ollie’s Angels has helped you, introduced you to an animal you fell in love with, taught you something new, or you simply believe in the work we’re building here in Santa Clarita, we would be incredibly grateful for your vote 💚

Meet Lily 💕

Nine years of being loved. Nine years of being someone’s family. And now, through no fault of her own, Lily needs a new place to call home.

Lily is a 9-year-old Staffy mix who has spent her entire life as a beloved family dog. She’s affectionate, goofy, house-trained, and still loves her walks and adventures—but she’s also very happy to curl up somewhere comfortable and enjoy the good life. As you can probably tell, she has also perfected the pittie smile 🥹

Her family loves her deeply and is doing everything they can to find the right home for her. Unfortunately, Lily can no longer safely live with the small dog in her current home, so she needs a home without other dogs where she can be someone’s one and only. She has lived with cats and has no known history of aggression toward people.

At 9 years old, Lily shouldn’t have to wonder where she belongs. We want her next chapter to look a lot like the life she already knows: walks, soft beds, ridiculous smiles, people who adore her—and a home where she can finally settle in for good ❤️

Lily’s family can keep her only until September 12, so time matters.

COURTESY POST 🩷 LILY NEEDS A NEW FOREVER HOME

Lily is 9 years old. She has a family who loves her deeply. And she needs our help finding a new home by September 12.

Ollie’s Angels met Lily’s family when they were facing the heartbreaking decision of surrendering her to the shelter. After talking together, they agreed to give us something incredibly valuable: time.

They are keeping Lily safely at home while we help network her and hopefully find the right person to give this sweet senior girl her next chapter 🩷

There is SO much to love about Lily:

🐾 Loves people & has never met a stranger
🏡 House + crate trained
🦮 Walks well on leash
🧠 Knows several commands—including “crawl!”
☀️ Loves walks, adventures & sunshine
🛋️ Affectionate, loyal + cuddly
💉 Spayed + up to date on vaccines

Lily has developed increased anxiety over the past year and currently takes Trazodone. She would thrive with an experienced owner who can provide a calm, consistent and structured home.

⚠️ Lily MUST be the only pet.

Lily has had multiple serious incidents involving the smaller dog in her current home, including a recent attack her family described as severe. Her family did not observe a clear trigger. According to her family, Lily has not shown aggression toward people.

Her behavioral history matters, and anyone considering Lily deserves complete transparency. But it does not erase nine years of being a deeply loved family dog. Lily deserves the chance to succeed in a home suited to her needs ❤️

Please help us give Raider a safe place to land ❤️🐾

Raider’s owner, Christopher, has already secured housing and is simply waiting for his move-in date. In the meantime, we’re hoping to raise enough money for temporary boarding so he and Raider don’t lose each other during this final stretch.

Anyone who has loved a pet knows they’re family. Sometimes people don’t need someone to take their dog away — they just need a little support to make it through a crisis.

Last December, because of your support, Ollie’s Angels received a $600 grant through MyGivingCircle. That funding helped us cover unexpected medical expenses for a dog in need while allowing us to continue helping other animals in our community.
