Thanks for letting me join. I am a first time knitter. I took a two hour class for my birthday and loved it so I purchased some yarn and needles. The instructor gave me a scarf pattern and I hit the ground running It is going okay but I’ve made a few mistakes. I’m happy with my progress.

For people who’ve made the Sophie Hood, do/did you wear it much? (In season!). I love the look but am wondering how it actually wears, but all the reviews are just about the pattern.

Help! I gotta crunch to get this done and made and my hook is squeaking!!!! I have done everything....washed it, ran it through my hair, even tried rubbing alcohol. All these worked for a short amount of time, but I need something more longer lasting. What do you do to keep your hooks from squeaking?

I have shared my “Shower Snake” on here before but I decided to frog the whole thing and add some random things like the time I washed myself with dish soap and the times I got caught in rain! So now it’s the “Water Worm”.

I also decided to ask ChatGbt on what colors I should use for which separate thing I do.. because I wasn’t liking the way it was looking before.

Here is just January 2025. I’ll post as I redo the “worm” that’s inspired by a temperature blanket.

I decided to start knitting just under 3 months ago. I was taught the basics at school but that was almost 50 years ago!! My mum has always been a good knitter so I thought I’d give it a go! Sticking to small items so baby clothes and wrist warmers for the moment! These are the things I have made so far ( in the order I’ve made them! ) What do you think? I’m really pleased with how I’m doing but welcome criticism too!!
