Liz Barrett for Santa Fe

Liz Barrett for Santa Fe My whole life I’ve been doing what social workers, and really, moms, are trained for—solving problems.

I’m running for City Council in District 2 to bring that mom energy to the city of Santa Fe.

Food for thought!

Recent research suggests there's more going on with "ideological sorting" than simply moving to places that match one's politics. It's often one of many deciding factors, such as taxes or safety.

Tot pool now open!

🏊‍♀️☀️ Recreation Update! ☀️🏊‍♂️

We are excited to share several updates from the City of Santa Fe Recreation Division:

💦 The Bicentennial Tot Pool is now open following the completion of boiler repairs.

🏊 Fort Marcy Pool will open beginning Monday, June 8, 2026! The pool will be open Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing another great option for staying active and cooling off this summer.

🛁 Repairs to the hot tub at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) have been expedited, and we are hopeful it will reopen sooner than originally anticipated.

🌊 Repairs to the GCCC waterslide are also underway. To help minimize disruptions, the slide will be available periodically during peak hours while work continues.

Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements and work to keep Santa Fe's recreational facilities safe, enjoyable, and accessible for all. We look forward to seeing you at the pool this summer! 😎☀️
