Hey ICF alumni, anybody interested in getting PA experience for 1 or 2 days on a short film... I don't think there is pay, just the usual lunch/credit deal... but good opportunity to make new contacts. DM me if interested! Thanks!
Hey ICF
Carlos R. Valencia and I graduated from ICF in 2006. Shortly after graduating, we would hangout and make movies. It's great to continue making movies with him many years later and that his last film, Casanova Pictures' The Chicken Party, has been winning awards at film festivals. It is finally screening in Los Angeles this Saturday night at the Culver City Film Festival.
Date: 12/8/18
Time: 9:30p
Location: Cinemark 18 & XD in Culver City.
We might have a little filmmakers get-together at Dave & Buster's after the movie if enough people are interested. It would be great to catch-up with everyone old & new. It's located next to the theater.

Hello fellow ICFers! I am an alumni from the class of 2017, here to tell you that my fifteen minute short film "Nocturne" premiered online last week!
The film is about an out of work jazz saxophonist struggling with he**in addiction. It's inspired by the true stories of jazz legends such as Charlie Parker and Chet Baker.
This is my first time writing and directing a short film of this duration. It absolutely couldn't have been possible without the work of the amazing crew of Inner-City Filmmakers Alumni who worked hard to make the film a reality: Tristan Aghajanian, Jessica Rock, David Hersholt, Bryant Granillo, Angelina Jeyko, Alexander Alacron, Sam Rodriguez, Edward Rosales, Juliana Covarrubias, Luis Garcia, and Daniel Henriquez.
Check out the finished film online now:

I would advise everyone to stay away from Richard Ross and Rich Wolf, the owners of Breaking Glass Pictures/Vicious Circle Films based out of Philadelphia, PA, who teamed up to sue us about spreading the truth about their bad business practices.
1) They will verbally mislead you over the phone of their intentions of distributing your film. 2) hide funds and distribution leads from you about the distribution of your film, 3) make false charges in the receipts and statements due to you quarterly and require you to pay for them through your profits before they pay you ANY money 4) and finally the worst of all, they will retaliate to get a $125,000 defamation suit against you, if you speak out against their business practices.
And that's why they have bullied countless filmmakers from the beginning.
I will NOT go quietly. If they are going to be lying, cheating and stealing and BULLYING filmmakers, they are in my professional opinion, the worst kind of distributor EVER.
