Yoga For Asthma

Breathing is an essential part of being alive.
Our breath is controlled by involuntary muscles, which makes it an action most of us don't think about, yet when someone suffers from Asthma, this can be a difficult experience on a daily basis.
Over the years we have practiced Yoga, knowing how to control our breath, and in turn our Prana (force of life) has been a great support in calming our mind and body. It raised our awareness of our inner workings and prompted self-inquiry.
Learning simple Pranayama techniques that are used in a yoga practice can help people suffering from Asthma, and a great place to start is by understanding what actually happens when we breathe.
