In 2021, a remarkable find was made by archaeologists from the National University of San Marcos in an underground burial site located near Lima, Peru. Situated in Cajamarquilla, approximately 15.5 miles from the city, the team unearthed a remarkably well-preserved mummy that was tightly bound with ropes, its hands gently covering its face. In addition to the mummy, the tomb contained a range of artifacts such as ceramics, plant remains, and stone tools, providing valuable information about the burial customs and everyday life of ancient Peruvian civilizations.👇
