Insurers don’t care if an 11 year-old roof is still functional; the issue is that they see homes with older roofs as liability as they will be targeted by roofing contractors.

If you’re at risk of getting dropped by your insurance company I suggest talking to a roofer ASAP! Also the government solar credit is still available until the end of this year.
