I don’t normally paddle this route, but I wanted to explore the islands.

It turned into an adventure. One forgotten paddle, a quick trip to Dunhams, three hours and two ticks later, I made it back to the dock. Forgotten paddles seem to be a trend for my first SUP ride of the year.

The water surrounding the islands near Rotary Park is full of teals, greens and deep blues. When the sun is shining, you almost feel like you’re on a tropical getaway. The islands are a hidden gem in Sault Ste. Marie.
