Whoever interrupted God while he was making Moose owes me an explanation...
Let me explain.
It’s like, He took His time crafting the important parts.
The gorgeous fur.
Those big, dreamy ears.
That sweet, innocent face.
That stupid little smile.
Every detail was handled with care… precision... intention.
And then… right in the middle of molding what should have been his stellar personality, it’s as if He was suddenly interrupted.
By something “more important.”
PLEASE.
What could possibly be more important than Moose?
Someone on their deathbed begging for forgiveness?
A terrible accident that needed divine intervention?
Someone seconds away from making a life-altering mistake?
Well, a big CONGRATS to whoever you are.
Because thanks to you - instead of receiving the intelligent, noble, well-crafted companion I deserved - I was given one who:
Doesn’t have functioning ears when his name is called
Runs directly into walls that have never moved
Barks at the same tree he has seen every single day of his life
Eats cat s**t like it’s a delicacy, then throws it up for me to discover later
Has fallen out of a window
Hides behind my legs when faced with any real threat
Is deeply afraid of frogs
And screams when he barks like a teenage boy going through puberty
And that’s just scratching the surface.
What I’m trying to say is this:
To whoever received that divine intervention…
I sincerely hope it was worth it.
I hope you went on to live a long, meaningful, productive life.
Because God cut corners on my dog to save you.
And I want you to understand the magnitude of that decision.
I will spend the rest of my life earning my way into Heaven.
Not for peace.
Not for salvation.
But so I can find you.
And introduce you to Moose personally.
And you can spend eternity with the creature whose brain you accidentally took with you.
