Whether you agree with Rob Schneider or MLB, I think there’s a bigger question Christians should ask:

Why does a simple Bible verse create so much attention?

Three Giants pitchers wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on their Pride Night caps—a passage about God’s covenant and the rainbow. MLB says the warning wasn’t about the Bible verse itself, but about a league rule prohibiting any writing on uniforms.

Regardless of where you land on the controversy, followers of Jesus shouldn’t be surprised when biblical convictions stand out in today’s culture.

Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” (John 15:18)

But our response matters.

Not outrage.
Not bitterness.
Not fear.

We don’t advance the Kingdom by winning arguments. We advance it by faithfully representing Christ.

The early church changed the world without political power, cultural influence, or social media. They simply refused to stop talking about Jesus.

So let’s keep speaking the TRUTH in love.

Because the goal isn’t to win a culture war.

The goal is to point people to Christ.

More than 180 Christian families in 32 villages in India’s Chhattisgarh state have been denied access to communal water sources, jobs, and key sources of income in what local Christian leaders say is an effort to pressure them into giving up their faith. Families in the Antagarh region say they have been blocked from using hand pumps, taps, ponds, and rivers, while others have also been shut out of government work programs and forest-based livelihoods.

Community leaders say the boycott is meant to force believers into “Ghar Wapsi” reconversion rituals. Civil rights groups have filed complaints, but the affected Christians were still facing severe hardship at the time of reporting.

This is not an isolated case. Christians in the same region were previously denied burial rights for deceased relatives, adding to fears of a wider pattern of pressure and discrimination against believers.
