This year on Nurses Week, I'm thinking about the nurses who are still showing up, exhausted, underpaid, undervalued, and doing it anyway. Because that's who nurses are.

We didn't choose easy. We never have.

But I also want to say this: you are allowed to want more from nursing. More autonomy. More income. More life. Choosing yourself doesn't mean you stopped caring about patients. It means you finally started caring about yourself too.

That's what NNBA exists for. That's what I built my life around after the hardest season of mine.
