In the ballroom splendor of light, love, dance, and movement, ADRIAN ALICEA presented "La Luz de Carmen," not only an homage to his mother, affectionately known as "Mama Carmen," but also to the salvific underground ballroom culture of dance, justice, and light that carried him and the late "Godfather of Vogue" Willi Ninja onto international stages of high fashion, beauty, and entertainment, starting with their being featured in 1989 alongside model Iman in Thierry Mugler's haute couture show in Paris, France to his designing and refashioning pieces of his collections for clients who dare to dream boldly, styled with temerity on the edge of trending fashion statements. The joy of attending and being a part of an Adrian Alicea show, whether in person or On-Demand, is to experience a collective dance of angelic and earthly creatures of heaven, from every community, region, and culture of the world.
