Maybe I'm being picky, but this grocery delivery left me a little disappointed. šŸ›’šŸ˜•
I know delivery drivers are busy. They're juggling multiple orders, dealing with traffic, navigating apartment complexes, and trying to stay on schedule. I genuinely understand that.
But groceries are expensive these days, and after paying for the groceries themselves, service fees, delivery fees, and a tip, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a little care with the order.
When I got home, everything was already sitting outside. Cases of water were placed directly on wet concrete. Eggs were mixed in with heavier items. Bags seemed stacked wherever there was space. And some of the food had been sitting outside longer than necessary. šŸ˜¬
The part that surprised me most is that I had already messaged saying I was only a few minutes away. Not an hour. Not later in the day. Just a few minutes.
I'm not trying to bash the driver because I know delivery work isn't easy. But thereā€™s a difference between completing an order and handling it thoughtfully. When you're trusting someone with a week's worth of groceries, little things like protecting fragile items and keeping food in good condition matter.
Maybe I'm overthinking it, but the whole delivery felt rushed rather than cared for.
Would this bother you, or would you just bring everything inside and move on? Do you expect a grocery delivery to be organized, or is that asking too much? And if you messaged that you were only a few minutes away, would you expect the driver to wait or complete the delivery as usual? šŸ¤”šŸ›’šŸ„š

I was driving along like normal and suddenly traffic slowed down because this pickup was hauling what looked like an entire tiny house down the road. No proper es**rt, no clear warning setup, no real preparation ā€” just a giant structure taking up the lane while everyone behind it had to figure out what to do.
I get that people move sheds, cabins, and tiny homes, but something this big needs to be handled safely. One bad turn, one loose strap, or one driver not paying attention and this becomes everybodyā€™s problem.
Public roads are not the place to just ā€œhope it makes it.ā€ If youā€™re hauling something the size of a small house, do it properly before someone gets hurt.

Today's reminder that convenience doesn't outweigh road safety.
A motorist stopped on a busy road, blocking both the bus lane and cycle lane while collecting a takeaway. The decision created a hazard for other road users, including a cyclist who was forced to stop as a lorry passed nearby.
Things got worse when the driver allegedly attempted to mislead officers by providing false details.
After being arrested, his real identity was established and officers discovered he wasn't insured.
The result:

The takeaway got cold, the car got seized, and the excuses didn't work.

Thatā€™s why signs like this spread so fast online.
People donā€™t expect every business to ā€œloveā€ every customer. But they also donā€™t expect to be told upfront that the level of service might depend on extra cash.
It just changes the whole vibe.
Less hospitality.

Look closely at the ā€œhelpfulā€ math lesson this place has taped to the front door.
It tells customers to move the decimal one spot to figure out 10%, then multiply that number by four.
Yes, you read that right.
This restaurant is basically telling customers that 40% is the new expected tip.
And honestly, this is where tipping culture starts feeling completely out of control.
ā€œServers arenā€™t volunteers.ā€
True. Theyā€™re employees. If staff feel like theyā€™re working for free, that sounds like an issue between the workers and the owner ā€” not something customers should be guilted into fixing the second they walk in for coffee.
Taping a colorful guilt note outside the door to shame customers into covering payroll feels wildly unprofessional.
And the math is what really gets me. Expecting a $32.92 tip on an $82.34 bill for standard service is not a small ask.
If a business model depends on customers paying a 40% surcharge just so employees can survive, then maybe the business model is the problem.
Workers deserve fair pay. No argument there.
But shaming customers at the door because the owner wonā€™t build proper wages into the prices is not hospitality.

I need some honest advice on a bad neighbor situation because this is starting to feel ridiculous. šŸ˜©
We recently moved here, and I run a business out of my garage. I have an expensive trailer and equipment, so sometimes I have to park my truck slightly over the sidewalk in my driveway just to keep everything secured and reduce the chance of theft.
At first, a neighbor asked nicely if we could move it so her kids could get by, and we moved it immediately. No argument, no attitude, nothing.
But then it started feeling like it became a constant expectation.
Eventually, my wife got frustrated and told her to leave our property, and ever since that argument, the cops have been called on us **three separate times** over the exact same parking issue.
At what point does this stop being a simple sidewalk complaint and start feeling like harassment?
Every time I try to protect my work gear, I feel like Iā€™m gambling on another police visit. I feel watched, targeted, and honestly annoyed that something people could walk around in two seconds has turned into this much drama.
Am I overreacting here, or is calling the police three times over this completely out of line?

This is the kind of order that makes drivers question everything. Multiple cases of water, heavy groceries, drinks, paper towels, and then stairs too? šŸ˜¤ Some customers really order like they hired a moving company, but itā€™s just one person using their own car, gas, time, back, and knees. If you live on the 3rd floor with no elevator and order heavy stuff like this, please understand it is real work. Drivers are not robots. If thereā€™s no tip or a tiny tip on an order like this, that feels disrespectful. Heavy orders deserve fair respect.

My wife didnā€™t believe me until I showed her the receipt. We ordered $31.75 worth of tacos and somehow the total came out to $50.95 after they tacked on charges for napkins, wiping the table, refilling salsa, ā€œrentingā€ a fork, adding ice cubes to a drink, and even sitting inside the restaurant.
But the salsa refill fee really pushed me over the edgeā€¦ a *salsa refill fee?* Itā€™s a taco placeā€”salsa should not be an upgrade option.
And then $0.50 just because someone smiled? At this point it feels like theyā€™re seeing how many random fees customers will tolerate before walking out.
