Cider is having its main character moment, and we are here for it!

Fueled by rising consumer interest and the success of National Cider Month, cider sales are surging across the U.S. and Canada. While other alcohol categories have seen a decline, cider is proving to be one of the strongest growth segments.

Some highlights from October:

Cider sales grew by 4.9% across major U.S. retailers.

National Cider Month saw a 43% increase in participation from 2024, with over 215 cideries taking part.

The campaign expanded into Canada for the first time and received its first official U.S. government recognition in North Carolina.

The momentum is real, and it’s a testament to the passion and innovation of the entire cider community. To get the full story on cider's impressive growth, head to the link in our comments!

Could cider apples thrive in Saskatchewan’s unforgiving prairie soil?

The McKercher family bet their cattle farm on it—planting 2,100 trees in 2014. Today, Crossmount Cider Company is a thriving prairie-rooted cidery, crafting unique ciders from orchard-grown apples just 5 minutes south of Saskatoon.

Discover their incredible story of resilience, hard-won knowledge, and a mission to build a prairie fruit industry from scratch.

From icy winters to explosive bottles, every glass of cider tells a tale.
