Crackle & Pop! is selling it's much loved and much babied Harrison console. Read on for the details.
Harrison MR-4 (Raven) Console
32 Input Channels + 2 Stereo Channels, 1 Stereo Cue send and 4 Aux Sends, 4 Aux returns.
This is an inline console with a mic path and a line path on each channel strip. EQ’s can be applied section by section to either path. The same applies for the sends and busses making for very flexible routing.
Originally purchased in 1986 for Ironwood studios, this console has been in service since. It received a full recap before it came to Crackle & Pop! some 13 years ago. We’ve mixed hundreds of records on it. It is currently installed and functioning and we are planning on packing it up mid September.
Asking price - $2,500. Local pickup in Seattle only.
Includes 3 96 pt TT patch bays - for buss outs to multitrack ins, multitrack outs to line ins, insert points for all the channels, and control room connectivity. Originally these consoles had Tuchel connectors under the motherboards but they over time would fail. We’ve wired the mic inputs to Elco connectors and hardwired the line ins, buss outs, & insert points directly to the patchbay. Connectivity from the patch bay to the outside world is wired up with convenient DB25 connectors.
We have one spare input channel and lots of spare parts including switches, vca’s, line drivers, resistor packs, op amps, lamps, and the power supply. Complete owners manual and schematic, both in print and digital versions.
Current known issues - the most common issue is switches and pots that need exercising and cleaning. The more it’s used the happier it is.
There is one broken switch on Channel 28. We have spares.
PFL (solo function) not currently functioning. We have a good idea of where the problem lives and have ordered parts. Hoping to have it working before the console is packed up
