Dozens of experiences working with people who were exploring the very early stages of the creative process led to many new insights. On how to facilitate that for the newcomer. This became Design Kompany's packaged short course 'Steer' about 15 years ago. These days we're a lot more relaxed and person-to-person about how we connect you with your creativity, which every single one of us has within. It's not necessary to have to guide you to an 'outcome' as we were going for, with the early workshops and the very first eCourses, I feel. It's more important to invite you to try new things and see where that experience may take you. Influenced by many study abroad exchanges, by cultural immersions, by books, by peers, by mentors, by experiential learning or residential learning experiences very early on, by camps, by music groups, by you name it, we took time to learn how other people did things. How they got us talking. Talking together, deeply, not superficially. Still sharing, still hosting, still dialogue-ing, and till connecting. But just 4 people, at a time. Reconnecting this month with people from around the world, I realized it might be time to once again offer our eWorkshop, The Mirror. I designed it for those of us who were asking big questions about 'Who am I?' to work with me and go through some simple prompts to get you closer to self-awareness. It's my role to hold up to you The Mirror. It's 100% virtual, and communications are over email, asynchronously, too. So, if you're comfortable with writing as a way of connecting, and are looking for a new, interactive experience in order to find some possible new insights, The Mirror might be of interest.
