Most people visiting the Big Island don’t know about this incredible program.🌺🐶
The Hawaii Island Humane Society allows visitors and locals to take shelter dogs on field trips for the day, giving them enrichment, exercise, and a break from the kennel while helping them get adopted.
If you’re traveling to Hawaii and want a meaningful activity that gives back to the community and animals, this is something truly special.
And if you’re not in Hawaii, check your local shelters. Many have similar programs that help dogs get exposure to potential adopters and socialization.
