As part of our continued investment in smart city technology, we are proud to announce a new pilot program aimed at supporting local restaurants and improving dining efficiency: TipTrack.

Much like our Flock camera investment helps us identify vehicles of interest, TipTrack will help participating establishments identify guests of interest, specifically the ones who tip like they’ve been personally wronged by the concept of gratuity.

Using advanced analytics, facial recognition, payment history, and what we are legally calling “hospitality pattern awareness,” the system will assign each visitor a real-time tipping confidence score before they even reach the hostess stand.

This exciting initiative will allow businesses to:

* prioritize premium table placement for proven tippers
* issue automatic “split checks unavailable” alerts for high-risk parties
* notify servers when a guest has a documented history of saying “I used to wait tables” before leaving 8%
* better protect waitstaff from chronic ranch-refillers with no financial upside

City leaders believe this technology represents the future of economic development, public-private partnership, and finally giving our servers the situational awareness they deserve.

Horror movies are rarely considered “brilliant”, but the 28 Days Later series keeps getting better with the 4th installment, “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple”. Mia Dacosta’s directing sets a never-boring pace, Ralph Fiennes is impeccable as co-leading actor, and, of course, Alex Garland is so darn good at telling a story. It’s on NETFLIX today.

Sturgill Simpson just dropped an album with no streaming… and still landed at No. 3. In 2026. On the Billboard 200.

The record — released under his alter ego Johnny Blue Skies — moved 59,000 units, all of them from vinyl, CDs, and even cassettes. No Spotify, no Apple Music, just fans physically showing up (or at least clicking “add to cart” like it’s 2003 again).

And it worked. This is actually his biggest debut week yet, which suggests that telling people they can’t stream something might be the most effective marketing strategy since… well, surprise drops.

Call it retro, call it stubborn, call it vinylly satisfying.
